Darlene E. (Larsen) Wallace entered eternal life on Wednesday morning, July 18, 2012 at 12:01 a.m. surrounded by her loving family at the age of 78 years 7 months 11 days. She will be greatly missed and lovingly remembered by all whose lives were touched by her gentle and caring way.

Darlene was born on December 7, 1933 in Plattsmouth, NE; the daughter of Walter C. and Elsie Mae (Smith) Larsen.

She graduated from Lexington Nebraska High School class of 1952.

She was united in marriage to John "Jack" Wallace at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Eddyville, NE on November 20, 1954. He preceded her in death on November 27, 2008.

Darlene worked for 35 years as a Registered Nurse. She was a loving and caring nurse to those she took care of over the years. She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church.

Those left to mourn her loss are her four children: Deb Huff and husband Terry of York, NE, Kathy Frost and husband Tom of Chandler, AZ, Trish Wilmes and husband Mike of Lincoln, NE and Jeff Wallace of Ft. Collins, CO; 10 grandchildren: Casey Huff, Courtney Holoch and husband Zac, Spencer Huff, Melissa Frost, Drew Frost, Jordan Wilmes, Jacob Wilmes, Abigail Wilmes, Savanna Wallace and Jack Wallace; two great-grandchildren: Dylan Frost and Alexa Frost; other family and many friends.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by a twin sister Arlene and her parents.
