Larry Keith Wallace, 76, of Manassas VA, passed away peacefully on Saturday, January 6th, 2024, at INOVA Fairfax Hospital in Falls Church. He was born on July 31st, 1947, in Grand Island, NE, to Helen Kolar Wallace and Harvey Keith Wallace.

Larry had a distinguished career in the Air Force, serving for 20 years as an administrator after joining in 1965. During his time in the Air Force, Larry was a member of the Air Force bowling team and also coached the youth program at Bolling Air Force Base. In 1985, his bowling team won the team and the team all events Divisions Interservice Tournament in the state of Washington.

After retiring from the Air Force in 1985, Larry took a job as the assistant manager at Bowl America Woodbridge. His accomplishments in bowling were recognized when he was inducted into the NCAUSBCA Hall of Fame in 1993. He had a PBA regional championship, 3 PBA Senior Tour regional titles, and was ranked as the NCABA's No. 1 bowler in 1984-1985. Larry had approximately 30 perfect games and 14 800 series. He was not only a decorated athlete in the sport but also a sought-after instructor and a true ambassador of the game. Larry's passion was coaching and helping others, not just in bowling but in all aspects of people's lives.

Larry had a love for nature, golf, playing cards, his two dogs, and, above all, his family. He was a beautiful storyteller and frequently shared stories about those he loved. Larry is survived by his wife Kathy Hughes Ward; his three children, Ricky Wallace and wife Sheri, Barry Wallace and wife Lindsay, and Jennifer Wallace; his stepchildren Michael and Christopher Ward; his siblings Archie Wallace, Denny Wallace, and Linda Luther; his seven grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren. He is predeceased by his parents Helen Wallace and Harvey Wallace, his stepson Gregory Ward, and his brother Allen Wallace.

Services for Larry will be located at Baker-Post Funeral Home & Cremation Center, located at 10001 Nokesville Rd. Manassas, Virginia, 20110. The family will receive friends from 10-11 AM Saturday, February 10th. A memorial Service will immediately follow at 11 AM in the chapel, where Larry will also receive military honors, rendered by the Air Force.
