Robert Michael Sacco 
April 22, 1954 – January 23, 2019

Robert Michael Sacco, age 64, a resident of Colorado Springs, passed away on January 23, 2019.  He was a loving and loyal husband, father, grandfather, brother, son and friend.

Bob was born on April 22, 1954 in Blair, Nebraska to Frank and Kathleen (Woolery) Sacco.  He moved around with his father’s career as he grew up, living in Omaha, Lexington, Washington, Millard, Arvada, and Aurora.

He met his wife, Donna Stone, in college at the University of Nebraska, and they were married on September 17, 1977 in Sioux City, Iowa.

He worked as an engineer in many capacities and locations, including Lincoln, Nebraska, Portland, Oregon, Guam and Colorado Springs.

Bob was a member of Engineers for Christ and SOCOMOGRO (the Southern Colorado Mountain Grotto cavers group), and he loved caving, winter backpacking, sword collecting, reading, scifi, music and beer.

He is survived by his loving wife, Donna Sacco; his children: Vanessa (husband Joshua Painter), Rebecca (husband Jeff Rose) and Dyanna Sacco; five grandchildren: Makayla, Noah, Riley, Gianna and Zachariah; his mother, Kathleen Sacco Elkins; his siblings: Mark (wife, Cindy) Sacco and Lisa (Sacco) Whitley; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, January 27, 2019 at the Old Chicago restaurant upper floor tavern, 7115 Commerce Center Drive.
