Joselyn America Aguirre Vasquez, 26, of Omaha, Nebraska, formerly of Lexington passed away unexpectedly in Guatemala.

She was born January 26, 1995, in Lexington, Nebraska to Patricio Aguirre-Carrillo and Anabela Vasquez-Esquival. She received her primary education from Lexington Public Schools through the 5th grade at Sandoz Elementary and then attended Lexington Public Schools, graduating from Lexington High School with the class of 2013. She then pursued higher education at the University of Nebraska – Omaha, where she graduated with a degree in 2018 in Graphic Design and Digital Media.

Following graduation, she resided with her twin brother, Roger, working for Proxibid, Inc.

In her younger years, Joselyn enjoyed playing basketball and soccer. She enjoyed being outdoors and fishing with her best friend, Sara. She stayed active going with her twin brother to the gym and riding her bike on trails. She loved looking at the beauty in the trees and drawing. She had a contagious smile and a heart of gold. Joselyn loved deeply and was loved even more. She will be missed dearly by many.

Joselyn was a member of St. Ann’s Catholic Church in Lexington.

She leaves to celebrate her life; her parents, Patricio Aguirre-Carillo and Anabela Vasquez-Esquival; her brothers, Henry Aguirre Vasquez of Kearney and her twin brother, Roger Aguirre Vasquez of Omaha; grandparents, Hilaria Carrillo, Efrain Vasquez and America Esquival all of Guatemala; also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family and many friends.

Kevin Amphone, 24, of Lexington, Nebraska passed away on Monday, March 23, 2020 in Lexington.

He was born on July 24, 1995 in Lexington, Nebraska to Brandy and Kaysone (Vongsaya) Amphone. Kevin received his education from Lexington Public Schools, and graduated from Lexington High School with the class of 2013.

Following High School, Kevin was a employed at Tyson working for P.S.S.I. Sanitation. Kevin and his girlfriend, Alicia lived together and had a son, Sabashton. He also helped Alicia raise her daughter Zailyn as his own.

Kevin enjoyed listening to music and fishing. He would go on long walks and liked taking Zailyn to the park. Family and friends were very important to Kevin and he always enjoyed spending time with his niece, Layla.

Kevin is survived by his mother, Kaysone of Lexington; mother of his children, Alicia Villegas of Lexington; children, Sabashton Amphone-Villegas and Zailyn Coonfield of Lexington; brother, Tony Amphonphong and Joann Terrazas of Lexington; nieces and nephews, Kien, Jordan, Layla, Santana, Alianna and Tony Ty; also survived by aunts, uncles, extended family and many friends.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents and father, Brandy.

A Visitation will be held on Friday, March 27, 2020 from Noon until 4:00 p.m. at Reynolds-Love Funeral Home in Lexington. Current CDC guidelines will be observed during this time, please refer to reynoldslovefuneralhome.com for information.

Cremation will take place following the Visitation and burial will be held at a later date.

Memorials are suggested to the family for later designation.
